24H: hands on image
Prague, April 2026 — Artist Nina Sibinská presented the unique 24-hour visual performance 24H: Hands On Image at ARCHA+ on April 5–6, 2026.
The project took the form of a continuous live visual set, during which the artist created and manipulated projection material in real time for 24 hours without interruption. The performance unfolded in silence and without the use of AI tools, emphasizing the artist’s physical and mental presence within the creative process.
This experimental format explored the limits of human concentration, endurance, and the moving image itself as a medium. Visitors were able to enter the space at any time throughout the day and night, observing an ever-changing visual composition emerging live in the moment.
The performance functions both as an experiment and as a manifesto of contemporary VJ practice. The project received positive responses from the audience and opens questions about the relationship between technology, the body, and time in contemporary audiovisual art.
Its subsequent documentation will be presented at the graduation exhibition of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in June 2026.
